Talk Time with Taylors
Friday night, we spent some time talking to the Taylors. Chris and Christina have fostered for so many years - and three adoptions from foster. So... she is my go-to for all this. She was amazing and the kids are so hard. SO hard. She is the perfect person to ask.
My questions for her were:
1. Would you do it again knowing what you know now?
2. Did you ever feel alone?
3. How did it effect M. (their bio child)?
4. What would you do differently?
5. Do you think I could do it?
Bottom line, I asked her at the end - would you do it again. "A million times yes."
A million times?
Her Mr. T was my boo during primary, but only because his teachers couldn't handle him and they needed a full-time sitter. Ms. E was well on her way to being my 2nd boo when they moved. T. still calls me Piano Teacher. STILL! After 4 years. And those bonds are so tight.
So I went home and thought about how much I love her T. Would I want her to do anything differently? NO way! No way! I love him so much in spite of or because of what makes him hard. He is hard. He LOVES hard. So does Ms. E. I have made a difference for them and they tell me that all the time.
So, time to take this to God.
