Steps Taken
As of yesterday, all the paperwork is in and ready to rock and roll. Mr. A has taken a very active role in what will be happening around here and is pretty darn excited about it. Let's see how long that lasts.
So, to update - We have all the paperwork in, just waiting for the background check to clear. I have had 7 immunizations and revealed all my family's deep, dark secrets. We just need to get our house ready.
I am really proud of Mr. A. He is really trying to be thoughtful of kids and how he acts and talks in general. He has volunteered to move to the downstairs bedroom where my office is currently. It is a nice place with a bathroom all to itself. I think he will like it, although I also think he will be a little nervous being downstairs for a while until he can make it his own.
This weekend, we are going to clean out the bedrooms, move my office up to my bedroom, install the baby locks, and start getting ourselves ready for the home inspection. It will be a good thing for us. We need to clean and clear and organize.
Yesterday, I went to Ross and started the process to get clothes for babies and toddlers, diapers, wipes, blankets and all that. It is expensive, but I would rather be prepared than to not have anything and be panicked. Kari has a bed to give me (a twin) and a crib without a mattress. Katrina has another twin bed and a crib mattress - but no crib! How lucky are we! I think I will try to get another set up bunks for another room so we have two working beds and a crib. Also, we are going to try to decorate the rooms very gender neutral so we can mix, match, and have a safe place for everyone.
All this and trying to get ready for Disneyland. I really hope I can make it through... both emotionally and financially.
In the end, I know that I have always been very blessed and will have so much grace extended.
